Firstly let's remember the basic rules:
COMPARATIVES:
short adjectives: +er than... (Ferrari is longer than the 600)
long adjectives: more .....than (Ferrari is more beautiful than 600)

SUPERLATIVES
short adjectives: +est in/of (600 is one of the oldest cars in Spain)
long adjectives : the most.... in/ of (Ferrari is the most beautiful car in the world)

SPECIAL CASES
good-better-the best
bad -worse-the worst
far-further-the furthest
